We won! – and the nomination for the Tree of the Year 2019 competition begins

For the first time after three years, in 2019 the Hungarian tree became the winner of the European Tree of the Year competition. This means that our tree has won the title for the fourth time since 2010 (and for the first time since voters must select two trees). In February more than 310,000 people voted for their favorite trees across Europe, and the Almond Tree of the Snowy Hill in Pécs collected 45,132 votes. The second place was won by the Russian Abramtsevo oak, and the third was the Secular Holm Oak from Monte Barbeiro, Portugal. The almond tree would like to thank everyone for the many votes!
