The Green Belt Program supported several settlements this year too

Our popular Green Belt program, although on a smaller scale for a few years now, has been running unbroken for more than a decade, currently with the support of the American company Greenprint. With a small grant, the Our Libic Association renewed the main street of their tiny village, planted 71 Linden trees and 3 Horse chestnuts in Libickozma, Somogy county. They plan to organise events in the future under the name “Libic linden flowering”. The Sárszentlőrinc-Uzdért Association planted 40 trees and 40 bushes and placed 30 birdnests in the old school yard, near the bridge of the Donát stream. In Becsvölgye, Zala county the Association for the Future of Becsvölgye planted 58 native trees in the recreational park of the settlement. By planting native fruit trees the Foundation for Pécsvárad renovated the Pécsvárad castle, the area surrounding the former Benedictine monastery.
