ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS

26 January 2024 - Following the approval of the supporting US Embassy in Budapest, the decision on the applications received for the first call for proposals has been made by Mérték Media Monitor and the Ökotárs Foundation.

A total of 32 applications were received by the deadline of 15 November 2023, of which 6 didn’t pass the formal screening. Of the 26 valid applications, the following 15 will now receive funding for a total amount of 115 608 880 HUF:

Next week, the Ökotárs Foundation will send all applicants an individual notification by e-mail, informing them of the outcome, the procedure and conditions for concluding the grant contract and the reasons for rejection.

Applications for the next round of the Szabad Média grant can be submitted until 29 February 2024 - this will of course give priority to applicants who did not apply or did not win in the first round!
